    Well hopefully with the impending end of the super team/tanking era, maybe championships will have meaning again. This decade has had the most asterisk rings than any other decade in the nba.

    This should surprise no one.

    He joined a 72 win team. He certainly won legitimately and was very good, but he knows he left a team where he was 'the man' to join a team that was not put together around him.

    I have my doubts that OKC would have won a chip had he stayed and he felt they probably wouldn't either. So, while he may not have ever won if he didn't leave, it isn't as sweet as it would have been if he'd done it in OKC as the face of the franchise.

    Luckily for him, he has hundreds of millions of reasons to extract some measure of satisfaction from the career he's had.
