I'm not sure. But people thought OKC would have multiple championships by now.

GS's run depends on how they fill out the pieces the next year or two. Curry, Green, and Thompson are young. But even those 3 need guys like Iggy, Livingston, Bogut, and (yes!) Barnes to help them out.

So, will Livingston and Barnes leave? Will Bogut still be a force? Will Iggy's body hold up? etc etc...

GS achieved the goal that the Thunder could not. But keeping a core together long enough for dynastic purposes is hard. A lot of younger posters don't understand that reality. They think that stuff lasts forever, etc. Sports is very fleeting. Injuries, age, money, etc can derail good/great teams. That is a major reason why repeat champions are rare.

I believe GS **can** win another championship. Will they? TBD.

True dynasties are hard to achieve. We tend to think every great young team is gonna be dynastic. I remember in 2012 everyone thought the Thunder were gonna be one...

I say they're gonna be good for a while but probably don't go on the kind of run people are expecting.

They'll win 60+ games next season and be in the thick of it once more. As long as they have Curry, Thompson and Green they will be a contender.

Let this be a reminder to those who would mock SAS for not repeating - how hard it is to do. One moment you can look like the greatest team ever and the next a monumental collapse losing while up 3-1.

Throwing the word dynasty around, not realizing how hard it is to MAINTAIN excellence over a long period of time, ...

Dynasty is like 3 titles in a row, or 3 in 5 years...not ****ing 2 finals appearances and 1 title
