it was obvious he wasn't going to play...

Heat have been better without him anyway, him and Whiteside weren't as good together on the floor as Whiteside/JJ, Bosh would have come in rusty and would have served as a distraction...He needs to retire so Miami could get a decent FA this summer.

Everyone basically knew this, but I'm glad it's official so it won't be a distraction. Bosh can still have a positive impact as a leader on the sideline and defacto assistant coach. I'd love to have him on the court but he's still very much a part of this team.
