Am I the only one who prefers Blandings to Jeeves?

Also, don't forget the Psmith (the "p" is silent) series, Ukridge, and Piccadilly Jim--all brilliant creations of Wodehouse.

i rate it 10/10

scifi setting, flows like a thriller and raises questions like existentialist literature

get to know the most mysterious alien in history

i'm no scifi guy at all and i wonder how i'll feel about it in a year or so, maybe i'm just caught up in the hype right now but it's absolutely amazing

too bad my Polish is not good enough for this
the German translation feels slightly off at times and apparently he's pretty hard to translate

Read John Gardners Grendel This Weekend. I remember reading it freshman year for a class and I really liked it. I only picked up some of the surface themes and implications. I even missed Beowulfs first words to Grendel before ripping off his arms. After reading it again .....wow..... Very well written I like some of the ideas although I'm not fakkit nihlist.

"As you see it it is, while the seeing lasts, dark nightmare-history, time-as-coffin; but where the water was rigid there will be fish, and men will survive on their flesh till spring. It’s coming, my brother. . . . Though you murder the world, turn stones into plains, transmogrify life into I and it, strong searching roots will crack your cave and rain will cleanse it: The world will burn green, sperm build again....That...My promise" - Beowulf

. ....... pretty much mind fks Grendel and slightly mind fks the scent[philospy] which the Dragon passed on to Grendel.

Started

Slow so far but most of his novels are usually like this. Hopefully I like it as much as i like his other stuff.

SRS though I have to read more Gardner.

It's been a couple years since I read a Dan Simmons novel...great author. I've read about a dozen of his so far.

Recommended by friend and I like it.

Just started: Dune, reading it while listening to a great audio of the book I found.

I usually don't include ebooks/novels. But what the heck.
The Moon pool by A. Merritt. Well written. Enjoyed it, the ending got me.
