They make up for it by having the knowledge and skill to actually know how to defend properly.

For all we we know Ricky Rubio can be the next Sergio Rodriguez, I don't care, but I do know that the Euroleagues are higher levels of competition than the NCAAs.

Proof please? The average height of the NBA is 6'6" or so, looking from video I rather doubt that the Euroleague is that close. So every team has several 7 footers?

He's 6'3" - which isn't exactly to his advantage in the NBA.

Rubio is actually listed at 6'2 3/4" ( 1.90 M) in the Euroleague Website, and i think he is one of the most overrated prospect in Europe.

Just because he looks like a younger version of Pete Maravich doesn't mean he is going to be better that Pistol Pete.

I wouldn't overrate this guy unless i have seen him play againts some of the best talent in the NBA.

I noticed 1 person using 2 alternate accounts in this thread, and you know what i am talking about.

A 6'3" point guard is big in the NBA.

Judging by the film they're certainly not defending any better than the NBA. The defense is actually rather passive and he certainly isn't commanding double teams.

I have no doubt in my mind that Rubio will become a good NBA player but the obsession Younggrease has for him is sickening.

It's not big at all but I guess it is average. I'm thinking of him as needing to be more of an offensive scoring threat than just a pure passer in the NBA. By the way, 3.3 assists isn't blowing anyone away. I know he doesn't get the minutes yet, but the point is that he hasn't proven himself.

Kobe Bryant is only about 6'4" and he is a shooting guard. 6'3" is how tall Deron Williams and Baron Davis are, and they are big for point guards.

well when your facing a talent like Rubio that happens from time to time. But this is the best league outside the NBA. A league that has had teams come over here and beat NBA teams in exhibitions. A league that put a lot of players on national teams that have beaten Team USA. The defense is definately legit, they understand angles and are on a whole much smarter defenders.

That's called the angle, you idiot. Not to mention that he's leaning in one picture while TMac in on the front of his foot, hence appearing taller than he actually is.

Kobe has stood side by side with Jordan, both with shoes on. He is pretty much the exact same height as Jordan. With shoes on Jordan is a true 6'6".

Oh yeah, MJ is only 6'4" too. Notice how Reggie Miller is 2 inches taller than he is. Do you think Reggie Miller is 6'8"?
    Penny Hardaway - 6'6
    Reggie Miller- 6'6
    Michael Jordan- 6'4
    Scottie Pippen - 6'7
    Grant Hill- 6'7
    Terell Brandon - 5'9 3/4
