Default Old school players vs today's rules

    http://nobodytouchesjordan.blogspot....s-day.html?m=1

fter looking at how weak 2000s defense is, let's see how a shell of Michael Jordan fared in the 2000s - and keep in mind this is before extra 2004/05 rule changes were added. Jordan didn't even have the benefit of all the weak rule changes like Lebron/Kobe/Durant etc do in the post-2005 seasons.

Too bad we will never know

This guy wastes too much time and effort onto an opinion matter that won't change ANYONE's biased opinions, and won't have any effect at all

Guy would be a great portfolio manager with this analytical effort

Wizards Jordan was the most inefficent 20+ PPG scorer in history. lol @ you dumbass Jordan stans acting like he was doing anything impressive. And nobody denies that Jordan would completely dominate the league today. Why are you clowns so insecure?

How did shell of a Michael Jordan go in the 2000's?

22 shots to put up 23ppg...
19 shots to put up 20ppg...

    47% and 49% TS% figures...

In fact, Jordan's 23ppg season is the least efficient scoring season for any player ever in modern day basketball when scoring over 20ppg.
His 20ppg season isn't far off either.

    Yeah, he dominated.

    Opinion piece?

The article provides statistical evidence that shows how some of the older players very well past their primes were still performing well.

    Kobe: 22.3pts .373% 2014-2015

    Kobe: 16.7pts .350% 2015-2016

And Kobe doesn't even play defense.

Neither did Jordan on the Wizards.

And why are you bringing up Kobe this season? Jordan is the least efficient 20ppg scorer ever in modern basketball. That is a fact.

And MJ's last season was 49%TS with a PER of 19.3

Kobe this season is at PER 13.9 and last season at 17.6

    Both still lower.

And? You could do the same with 80's players going into the 90's when Jordan started winning.

MJ played better defense as a Wiz than most star players do today in their prime.

    Context mean anything to you?

No he didn't. You're just a spastic MJ slurper who can't see whats going on due to MJ's nuts blocking your vision.

He wasn't a good defender, he wasn't a good scorer, etc. Get over it.

Scoring 23ppg on 47% TS is only hurting your team.

Much better defender than Curry, Wade, Kobe, Harden, smarter than James will ever be.

Come to think of it, MJ in his last season had a DWS of 3.4

Lebron James THIS season has a DWS of...... 3.4

But back to the main point which was MJ being a better defender than Kobe.

    Kobe's last 5 DWS:

    2.0
    2.6
    0.1
    0.6
    0.3

    But... but....
