Jordan missed practically the entire 85-86 season

he missed the entire 93-94 season

Jordan wasn't "resting his knees"....if you even knew or have heard what Jordan was like, you'd know he was NEVER SEDENTARY. He played baseball, worked out, basketball in between with some golf. He didn't just loaf around like a couch potato.

he missed 80% of the 94-95 season

this means jordan did his 29ppg @ 33 years old in basically his 10th full season

and had 3 years to rest his knees

while kobe has played atleast 80% of all the games in a season and never had any breaks to rest

    Jordan missed games from 85-93 = 71
Kobe in his first 9 years = 111.

    Jordan's minutes in his first 9 years = 25,842
    Kobe's minutes in his first 9 years = 21,962

Despite missing almost a full season to his broken foot, Jordan still played 3,880 more minutes than Kobe. Then Jordan missed 147 games during his baseball stint, or about 5,586 minutes.

So in essence, Kobe played 1,706 more minutes than Jordan over the next 2 years, or about a 45 more games than Jordan.

Minutes wise, even when Jordan retired for almost 2 years....compared by minutes, Kobe only played 45 more games than Jordan did....BIG DEAL.

kobe lit his ass up as usual, jordan couldnt even handle a 19y/o kobe, it would have been embarassing to see him try to guard prime kobe

Well then check out 3PA and FTA as well. Or his WS.

You also need to remember that you are comparing a whole season to a few good games by someone. Very fair comparison there bud.

i dont see how kobes first 9 years worth of mileage has anything to do with him averaging 30ppg in his 16th year

he has 16 years of mileage

kobe has 6 assists per game with his 30 points

    brah
If Phil was still coaching the Lakers, Kobe would still be averaging 4-5 APG under the Triangle. So doesn't really matter. Mike was still a dominant player. So would Kobe.

How about i make it a little simpler for your slow brain...

Jordan thru 11 years (including injured foot year, and first retirement years = 29,600 minutes. (age 21-32)

    Kobe thru 11 years = 28,379 ( age 18-28)

Jordan played MORE MINUTES than Kobe, despite being OLDER during their first 11 years.....take your excuses and put them somewhere stinky.

Yep and if Jordan didn't play baseball , we might of seen 9 rings.

no sense in comparing seasons missed , college career vs pro career out of high school - let's just drop it.

I still have the games they played against each other on tape. Kobe did pretty damn good against Mike in Chicago. But next week at the All-Star game in New York, Mike embarrassed Kobe.
