ISHers need to understand something.

Ever since 2000 decade onwards, there is no real parameters to judge who gets into All-NBA FIRST team or SECOND team.

I'd say his play this season is highly suspect.

But All-NBA first team? Not crazy to say. There's just such a dearth of centers and I can't imagine Dwight Howard being 1st team because of how bad of a season the Lakers are having. Spurs on the other hand have the best record in the league. He did miss 10 games though and I'm assuming Pop will sit him out for more, while Chandler hasn't missed any and Noah has only missed a few. Its just hard to imagine one of those 2 players getting first team I'm assuming the Lakers will get around 43-45 wins and that will be enough to justify Howard, who's still statistically the most impressive center in the league, as first team.

I'd assume its one of those 4 though, which would be a shame though considering how bad Howard's team is and how misleading his stats are, how Chandler and Noah aren't really superstars, and how much Duncan has coasted and not missed a significant amount of games. The center position and what it used to be is about as dead as its ever been. Sooner or later, I'm sure they will change the all-nba teams to reflect just 3 front court players instead of 2 Fs and 1 center.

You can't make the playoffs in the West with just 45 wins.

Carmelo Anthony should be in the all NBA First team. He's playing like a top 5 player this season. It sucks that the Center position is weak. NBA needs to change the format.

LeBron James
Kevin Durant
Tony Parker
Carmelo Anthony
James Harden

He's been the starting C and playing most of his minutes at center since 2008-09, after Oberto left.

So 11 seasons as a PF and 5 seasons as C.

He sucks. Look at his career stats. 20/11 that's average. Vin Baker type of a player.

So 11 seasons as a PF and 5 seasons as C.

Minutes per position is better indication, and TD played C as many min. (if not more) than PF. Thats why some rank him as a center.

This year Timmy is showing unexpected resurgence, he looked done for the last couple of years. What changed? In any case, I'm glad he is doing well, lets see how Spurs will fare in the Playoffs.

P.S. Lets not get carried away comparing him to Kareem and Russell They are a whole tier above him.

Russell wouldn't even be as good as Rodman if he played in the modern era. Kareem played with a top ten player for five of his rings. Wasn't the best player in all of them. Duncan>Both
