Oh JR is stupid in the academic sense...why do yo think he couldn't go to UNC? or almost any other school.

I dont know why people judge him so harshly though. He isn't some thug and I find it funny how people judge the kid. Its ironic because he was more the kid that got picked on by the thugs in high school or the tougher kids on bball teams. Maybe he is overcompensating.

He was all set to go to UNC, but blew up in the high school allstar games. It made good financial since for him to cash in while his star was on the rise. Risking injury for college glory would have made him look like an idiot.
There was a good chance that Roy would have hid him in an effort to make him stay, like Mark Turgeron did with DeAndre Jordan, and Ersan Ilyasova and Zaza Pachulia's coaches dod with them.

i feel bad for the kid. his choices are magnified, especially the bad ones. imo itd be hard waking up in the morning knowing you took your best friends life, so i have some sympathy for him. doesnt mean he gets a free pass in my books, but im not too quick to pass judgement on him.
