With MLB expanding their playoffs and the NFL discussing the option, wouldn't be surprising if this happens. I'd be more intrigued by it if it was the 20 best records in the league instead of 10 from each conference.

How would a 10-team Conference playoff even work? That is the most awkward number of teams for a bracket. The entire playoff format would have to be revamped.

Eliminate conferences, eliminate divisions, everyone plays each other twice, take the top 12 teams and play 7 games playoff series.

Mine as well play a 50 game season. Take a week off and play the all star game. Then have a 30 team Double elimination best of 7 per round tourney with seeding based on the 40 game season.

I like, but why not 3 games each? Helps with tie breakers and at 2 games, the season is kind of short. But at the same time, contract to 21 teams. That gives you a 60 game season, and if over the same length, then you get rid of all back to backs. Players are more rested and less injured. Makes the product better. Also, less sucky teams, more concentrated talent.

Start by contracting the Kings. Cousins goes to LA, Rondo back to Boston.
