Don't you think that not MAKING the playoffs is worse than a first round exit and Lebron does have time to accumulate more of either.

Losses as the 8 seed vs 1 seed are never criticized
So OP is really saying that getting the 8 seed (MJ 85-87) is worse than lebron getting the 9 and 10 seed (04, 05, 19)...

Especially when the 8 seed plays the goat celtics closer than lebron's 2 seed plays the old spurs in 14', or Warriors in 18'
Otoh, losses as the 1 or 2 seed seed are frequently criticized, and lebron has at least 6 of them, while players in the top 10 all-time also have 5+ losses with 1 or 2 seeds... only MJ was undefeated (6-0) with 1 or 2 seeds (the most unbeatable player with a squad, aka goat)
