I'm copy/pasting everything I said in the other thread.

    Seriously?

CP3 can't run an offense like Nash can. He doesn't have the same court vision. Nash is also a far better shooter and ridiculously more clutch. I sometimes feel like people consider "watching a basketball game" going on yahoo.com, flipping open a boxscore, and watching the play-by-play.

I do agree however, that Shawn Marion was not better than Steve Nash.

Nash last year? Oh, you mean a 36 year old who is still a top 5 PG and #1 option? Sure is a shame he couldn't carry his team to the playoffs like a young 20 year old player. Even if Paul was equal at running offenses to Nash, you ignored the whole "Nash being a far superior shooter and a exponentially more clutch player" part.

The validity of this argument was lost when you mentioned win shares.

Nash > Paul as far as careers go. Get over it. In a few years, Paul may be better, he may not.

Just because somebody joined the Clippers doesn't make them suddenly better. You've got it the complete opposite, in fact.

Stop overhyping Paul. He hasn't played a single regular season game with the Clippers. Hes a very strong point guard but doesn't match up to what Nash has done, and can do.

Also, I really disagree with you saying Paul is a better scorer. Unless we're talking pure PPG.

Compare those two seasons. Not doing career vs career. Obviously Nash is ahead on that list.

I just did. By overall I was talking about the overall of the time frame who was better and it was Nash.

I'm not comparing careers. Stay on topic and compare peak vs peak. Nobody would say CP3 ranks higher in terms of career achievements.

You're right... I think he's the better all around PG in any year. Reason for this thread is people implied CP3 has never touched Nash's MVP level. Stay on topic Joyner.

I gave each player their 2 dominant/peak seasons so far. You gave Nash an extra season then picked him.

    nashs peak was 04-05.

i can't remember which game it was, if it was game 4 or 5 vs dallas in the conf semis but it was the greatest performance i have ever witnessed by a player not named dirk

    Ok.

    1. 07-08 Paul
    2. 04-05 Nash
    3. 05-06 Nash
    4. 08-09 Paul

Is that better? Even though you could have done it yourself?

    So 16/5/8 54 TS% 38 wins>19/4/12 65 TS% 61 wins?

Yes. I got Nash's MVP seasons right? If not maybe that's why you guys are confused. Nash won MVP in 05-06 and 06-07 right? Or was it 04-05, 05-06?
