    His health was the problem (as well as a bad fit with Melo). He was fine on the Suns when Nash couldn't play, he was clearly a beast with the Suns before Nash arrived, and he was good the first year he was on the Knicks.

    His first year with the Knicks he averaged 25/8, while his best year with Nash pre-injury was 26/9.

    Then Melo joined, he had more health issues, and he was never the same again.
