This is one of those questions that cannot be answered with a straight statistical comparison. Both players finish at a very high rate at the basket and both are generally speaking, unbelievably good at finishing. As I said earlier in the thread, the difference for me is that Jordan is (1) better at adjusting to changes to the defense to prevent driving, (2) handling midair improvisation, and (3) is equally good as Lebron at powering through to a finish, despite his smaller size. Plus he had a faster first step and could finish with a short pull-up jumper in the lane almost as easily as a lay up/dunk. I consider a driving jumpshot a finish "around the rim" and Jordan is decidedly better than Lebron at that aspect of the game.

Both are world class drivers but Jordan was just a bit more nuanced and versatile, and unpredictable in his moves than Lebron is.
