Are people seriously denying that he is playing extremely passively?
    Blame Kobe....

I think he is passive in the 4th quarter, he should just shoot if he has a decent shot. Instead of trying to pound it to Kobe who is heavily guarded.

Damn it's a shame how quick fans turn on their team when things go downhill. You people sure loved this guy when he helped bring you two rings.

He was putting up 20/11 on 55+% for those two rings.

He's putting up 12/9 on 44% in this year's run.

And the drastic dropoiff in numbers dont even do it justice.. I'm much more upset about how he doesnt even try on offense anymore. He's purely a jumpshooter and tip in guy. His 1 on 1 game has been reduced to Kwame level mostly because he's just playing soft as shit.

Lebronytes turned on Mo Williams the minute the Cavs lost in the playoffs instead of blaming Lebron. So...it's no wonder idiots like you would know all about that.

    OOPS!!!!

Lol apparently real fans can't objectively call out a player on their team when he's under performing. A real Laker fan would just place everyone's problems on Kobe.

This, the reason why Pau passed that shot in the 4th in Game 4 was because he was out of rhythm and had almost no touches in the 4th. If any of you has ever played basketball, you would know that it feels incredibly awkward to have the ball after not touching it for like 20-25 possessions, let alone shoot the ball after 20-25 possessions without it.

its painful to see kobe take the shots he does. Why the *** can't he just play smart ball and get it to the twin towers. Farking makes me rage because hes obviously an amazing talent but just goes full retard at times.

Y'all are the very same people who blame Kobe for supposedly shooting the team out of the game. Now, you're saying Pau never got the ball, so he was out of rhythm....which is it? And it can't be both.

It's both. If people are saying Kobe is shooting them out of the game, they are probably saying he is taking all of the shots and missing most of the shots. If he is shooting all the shots then Gasol obviously is not getting any touches which leads to him being passive.

We all know you are just a Kobe fan though.

Pau was in the game with Metta for 5 minutes before kobe even came in and who was doing all the scoring? Purely Metta. Pau wasnt trying for any isos on the low block..

Notice how NONE of that really answered the question. Big surprise
So...you're saying, as a person who claims to have actually played basketball. That it's possible to have a rhythm during like a 5-10 minute stretch, not get the ball for like 2 minutes, and cuz of that 2 minutes lose your rhythm. Anybody who's actually played basketball knows that statement is pure b.s

We all know you are just a pathetic bandwagon jumping Kobe hater though

Yep. And I'm not putting this all on Kobe either; albeit, he's responsible for their 4th quarter meltdowns. Like LA_Showtime said, Pau has been relegated to third option. He never gets the ball. Most of his points come from tip ins, offensive rebounding and/or bailouts.

With Bynum, the Lakers make a concentrated effort to get him the ball most possessions (which is stupid, because the Lakers are at their best when Gasol has it going offensively/is looking for his shot, while Bynum is focused on rebounding/playing defense; any other way and it kills their floor spacing). He's just too impatient to re-post and beat the help defense/double teams.
