    Default Boozer's Impressive Standing Reach

I always thought he was a pf midget. I was looking through draft measurements to find guys that are real bigs. I decided to make the cut at 9' standing reach. Then I saw Boozer! His head says he's shorter, but his standing reach is in the real big man club.

When you think about it, head height will help with passing/seeing over the defense, but wingspan helps with getting in the passing lanes and helps with the standing reach, which translates into rebounds, blocks, and getting shots off.

The FA market is looking weak for our needs. Here's a great list of them (restricted, unrestricted, player and team options):
    http://origin.nba.com/jazz/news/2009...ee_agents.html

Kwame Brown (if he opts out of his 4M)?
    Rasheed Wallace
    Rasho Nesterovich
    Jamaal Magloire (injury prone)
    Eddy Curry
    Marcin Gortat

Not really much as far as bigs that we would be interested in. It's going to take a trade, plus we need to keep Okur.

We don't need to keep Okur. Jazz were already interested in Magloire.

Good thing he has such a good standing reach, because that is all he does on defense is stand. In Loozers case it does not translate into blocks, unless you think .2 blocks a game is good. lol You could probably count on one hand how many times a season he jumps to try to block or alter a shot. He will leave his feet to get rebounds though.

Actually, if he would stand with his arms straight up more often, I would be satisfied.

Exactly, arms straight up and staying in front of the ball isn't asking too much is it?

Hansbourgh's standing reach is higher than I thought considering how long his neck looks and his relatively low shoulder height. His wingspan was also a little surprising, too, considering how narrow his shoulders are. I guess he has long arms.

Who's AK? And yeah don't forget about shoulder height. Somebody could be the taller height and have longer arms and yet a lower standing reach if they have really long head and neck/low shoulders.

I'm not the one with a reading comprehension problem。How does saying the Jazz were interested in Magloire and me not being impressed with Okur's game translate to saying he's better?

    Obviously Magloire doesn
