Shawn Bradley. Sucked at scoring. Sucked at defense. But he could block shots really well.

To me neither were one dimensional. You guys are saying it like there are two main dimensions to basketball, offense and defense but I say there are 4.
1. Scoring/Shooting
2. Defense
3. Rebounding
4. Passing/Playmaking
It's more accurate to break it down into those 4 main attributes. I think Ben Wallace and Rodman were both unselfish passers, elite rebounders and defenders. So they had possibly 3, at least 2 of the 4 main dimensions in my opinion. One dimensional doesn't work in their case IMO.
I think the true answer to this question is that there isn't one. Not a single "great" player has been one dimensional, or they wouldn't be great.

By the way, every good defender is usually at least average in rebounding (because of hustle).
I guess the answer is someone who could only shoot the ball, Steve Kerr?

Rodman was the greatest rebounder in the history of the NBA by a wide margin. Better at rebounding than everyone else, more than anyone else was better at anything else than everyone else (it makes sense if you think about it).
And he didn't really produce much else (blocked shots, steals, points, etc).
So doesn't he pretty much run away with it?

So defense doesn't count now? By definition you can't be ONE dimensional if you're elite at TWO different aspects of basketball.

He's one dimensional and that's that, I don't need your fancy words to tell me what I saw.

Fighting mountain lions does count there's no "unless" about it.
