Lin gonna ball this year though. I'm not a huge Lin fan, but I do fully expect his numbers to be better across the board.

Jeremy Lin will not be in the Rockets' starting lineup for Wednesday's season opener, according to teammate Chandler Parsons.
Lin has been in a battle for the Rockets' starting point guard gig with Patrick Beverley and it would appear as if that is a battle that Lin has lost for now. Coach Kevin McHale has said he'll be tinkering with lineups throughout November and December, but this is a definite blow to Linsanity's fantasy value.

Beverley does fit better with the starting line-up though.

This is a nice move for Lin. Especially getting free reign on the 2nd unit. One factor that helped Lin which isnt in Houston, D'Antoni.

Will Lin and Asik be ok coming off the bench when they could be starting with other teams? The Rockets will have locker room issues.

Re: Are we witnessing the death of Linsanity?
Also Linsanity will get to be matched up against the other teams second stringers, giving him an opportunity to succeed.

Unless he's Jesus how can something that's already dead, die again? Darren Collison had a better run when CP3 went down back in the Hornets days.

Linsanity was scripted. Lin is supposed to go under the radar now for a bit than make a return in the future as a heel.
