I absolutely love Chicago. But it's certainly got it's problems. In addition to it's social issues. The summers are hot and sticky but short. And the winters are bitterly cold and longer than most would care for. Those beaches are great, but it's lake front fresh water beach, not the ocean.

I never run down Chicago. People who don't live in cities can't understand how one section of a city can be violent and it not affect the daily life of most of the folks in that city. The parts that are violent are the parts you never want to go to anyway.

i really like chicago. It's a home away from home. Very livable city. Awesome food.

Every major city has its bad parts and its good parts. It's not like the whole greater chicago area is in some crime wave.
