    Wroten
    Korver
    Paul

Only ones I can think of.

Chandler has been Dallas' best player so far, but I still think I'd take Ellis and Dirk over him in a vacuum.

Are there any plans for Snyder making him their starting C anytime soon? Kanter seems more fit to play in a reserve role.

Who knows what they will do. It's quite a dilemma for a team that doesn't want to win games. With him they are competitive. Without him they suck. They also have to figure out what they will be doing this off-season with Kanter becoming a free agent. They have to decide if Kanter or Favors is the best fit next to Rudy or if they can afford to keep all 3 and have a 3 man rotation which is what they need to do right now but again they will win games if they do and that is bad when you are tanking.

Giannis and Jabari are both better than Knight, their stats are never gonna match it and they'll keep being inconsistent as long as they're being frozen out, until we get a quality PG that plays like a PG, or give Marshall more burn. Knight is pretty much Westbrook on his absolute worst night, with 10% the talent

Dragic is the better leader and floor manager, but Bledsoe the best player.

Also, would like to use his opportunity to say I hate Gerald Green

And old man Timmy is far from being the best player on the Spurs

You obviously have not been watching the Spurs this season. Duncan and Green have been carrying the team while Leonard (10 missed games) and Parker (11 missed games) sit on the bench.

    Duncan 16.1 pts / 10.7 rebs / 3.1 asst / 2.2 blks
    Parker 16.2 pts / 5.2 assts
    Leonard 15.2 pts / 7.6 rebs / 2.5 asst / 2 stl

    OWS
    Duncan 1.4 (#3 on Spurs)
    Parker 1.3 (#4)
    Leonard 0.9 (#6)

    DWS
    Duncan 1.8 (#1)
    Parker 0.5 (#8)
    Leonard 1.4 (#3)

    ORtg
    Duncan 109 (#6)
    Parker 109 (#6)
    Leonard 107 (#9)

    DRtg
    Duncan 97 (#1)
    Parker 108 (#15)
    Leonard 98 (#2)

    PER
    Duncan 22.6 (#16 in NBA)
    Parker 17.28 (#84)
    Leonard 19.2 (#48)

    Duncan
    #4 in blocks/game in NBA
    #7 in rebs/game in NBA
    #4 in double-doubles in NBA

Is that enough proof that Duncan is not as you say "far from being the best player on the Spurs" - that, instead, he has been the best Spur this year?

Dirk vs Monta is actually pretty close still:

    Monta - 21/2/5 53% TS 105 ortg 110 drtg 18.4 PER

    Dirk - 19/6/2 58% TS 118 ortg 108 drtg 21.8 PER

    Crunch time (PER 36):

    Monta - 41/3/3 66.1% TS

    Dirk - 34/8/6 70% TS

I'd still probably go with Ellis (and Tyson) over Dirk so far, but there really is no clear cut best player on this team at this point.

I've only seen about 5 Mavs games this season. Monta was the best player in each of those five games. Small sample size, but from what I've seen there isn't really an argument.

There can also be an argument about Jeff Teague. He might be the go to guy but if you take away Millsap or Horford, whichever one stays is automatically the go to guy for the Hawks.

Hahaha. Well, we've played 32 games now. Talking about 5 games is irrelevant. There is an argument...you just haven't seen enough obviously. The above numbers are on the season...not like 15% of our games so far.

I'd go with Ellis if someone made me choose, but it's actually pretty close between Tyson, Ellis, and Dirk...so close that acting like we have a clear cut MVP is kind of silly.

5 games just isn't enough to count.

Saying he's far from being the best player is just stupid.

Say it's Kawhi when healthy if you want. Say it's been Green this year if you want. But aside from those two, it's clearly Tim and that's final.

Yeah, I think as an individual force Bledsoe > Dragic.

But Dragic makes this team go. Trade Thomas for a big.

5 games isn't enough, but they were at different points in the season. And 5 out of 5 of those games I watched, Ellis was without question the best player. It could just be a coincidence, but judging from what I've seen Monta looks to be the go to guy, especially in big games.

Well...watching all the games is better.

And go to guy doesn't mean best player either. Monta is definitely our go to guy late in games...last night he wasn't, but he routinely is.

But I posted the numbers above. In crunch time and overall.

I agree that Monta has likely been our best player...I'd probably rank it:

    1. Monta
    2. Chandler (Tyson)
    3. Dirk

But my point is that it's basically too close to call...it's like the Spurs now when they are healthy.

For one to are that Monta or Dirk or Chandler is the clear best player...is just a stance out of ignorance or someone knowingly talking BS.

Think about the 5 games you watched...what if you had watched these 3 games as part of the 5:

Monta's 1 of 11 game against the Grizzlies
Monta's 3 of 13 game against the Knicks in which we won
Monta's 6 of 20 game last night in which he was our 3rd best player and we won

You watch those games and you'd come away with a much different opinion....

Ellis has been overall very good this season, but he still doesn't approach great efficiency and still turns it over too much...and his defense off the ball still leaves a lot to be desired. He's been a beast in crunch time and his 2nd half scoring has led to a lot of wins. But lets tap the brakes a bit here on acting like he's been Curry or Lillard or Harden so far.
