No thanks lakers. I'm turning down
A) automatic starting allstar spots every year
B) world wide publicity/fan support/personal brand building power
C) superstar status
D) ability to manufacture icon status
E) top selling jerseys
F) increased legacy/all time status
G) rubbing shoulders with other all time legends
H) work out sessions with past all time great lakers
I) learning tricks/skills from kobe bryant
J) having a future star PG d'angelo russell
K) having a future star SG jordan clarkson
L) having a future star PF julius randle
M) either winning in 2016 or getting another future star draft pick
N) possibly creating a fab 4 or fab 5 lineup
O) with the tv deal cap increase having another 20 mill for another max free agent in 2016-17 creating a 5 star lineup after kobes retired
....because i'm scurred about not getting enough touches in the 1st and only year i play with kobe bryant... and/or i might not win a championship in the first 1-2 years
I'd rather go somewhere else..... screw all those perks... i wanna be tha man from day 1 and and a guaranteed playoff chance for next season cause i'm lunatic fringe boner head doofus typical nba free agent

lakers are not offering max contracts this summer, that's why they arent getting anyone. they believe no one this summer is worth the max and won't offer it
