Nope. The NBA will hush hush any media concerns and act like he earnt it. They want that asian money.
How? Is there any evidence that "the NBA" actually has any top-down power over anything? They can't hush the entire media, the entire press, heck even their commentators, not to mention every fan, crying foul.
Err.... why? It's fan voting. If the fans (as dumb as they are) want to see him, then so be it. This is why coaches pick the reserves, so that we can still have a good game.
The fans don't want to see him. Chinese people want to see him because he's Chinese. Which is stupid and pathetic. The fans don't want to see a below-average starter start in the all-star game because of racial bias. It's assumed that fans will vote for qualified players. It's harmless if someone votes for an underqualified player because he's a big part of their favorite team. But Lin getting in - while playing like a guy who doesn't even deserve a roster spot - because he's Asian is awful.

They're 3 games over .500 so I guess Pierce is good.
