Warriors 2013 NBA Draft results
The Golden State Warriors have acquired the draft rights to Serbian guard Nemanja Nedovic (nay-MON-yah ned-OH-vitch), who was selected with the 30th overall pick in the First Round of this evening’s NBA Draft, from the Phoenix Suns, in exchange for the draft rights to the 29th pick in tonight’s draft (Archie Goodwin) and guard Malcolm Lee, the team announced.
Nedovic, 22, has played professionally in Europe for four seasons, currently with Lithuanian club Lietuvos rytas in the country’s top league (Lithuanian A League), where he is averaging 11.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 18 games. In 10 Euroleague contests with Lietuvos rytas this season, he’s averaged 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Prior to playing in Lithuania, the 6’3” guard played three professional seasons in his native Serbia with Crvena Zvezda.
