It's okay. They compensated with their next design:

Watching Mutombo try and defend Robinson was always hilarious. Denver would eventually just put their PF on Robinson during most of the next four years. The speed and quickness difference was monumental. It's the main reason I find Mutombo overrated defensively. He had a great instincts and time for blocking shots...but he was slow as hell. Being able to move your feet is incredibly important when it comes to defense. He was not a better defender than Hakeem, Robinson, Zo, or Ewing when considering primes vs primes. He stole that DPOY in 95 from Pippen and basically acquired the rest of them as those said players up above were on the way out or injured. (Robinson in 97 who was by far the best defender in 96 when they gave it to Payton)

You can say whatever you want about Robinson in the playoffs...but through a regular 82 game season...he's probably a top 5 player ever. I've always found it amusing how everyone just rights off the regular season too...the NBA Season is long as hell...what is the point of even playing it...if it means nothing? An 82 game sample size over that length of time...to dominate is impressive, period.

one of the greatest two way players. you can match his offensive highlights with his defensive stands.
