    Default Laker privilege

Phil Jackson gets tossed because he was bitching after his dumbass only had 4 players out there on the floor, and the other team scored. The refs bow down, rescind his ejection, and take the points away.

The Blazers have 6 players on the floor, score a basket, and are only assessed a technical foul but the points are still counted.

So in one instance, a team has less players on the floor than they should (completely to their own fault), and are bailed out by the refs. In another, a team has more than they should, and gets to keep the points anyway. What kind of ****ing bullshit is that?

George fouled out and then was ejected with 4:57 to play. By rule, the Lakers had 30 seconds to put in a substitute, but the ball was put back in play before they could, and Larry Hughes hit a 3-pointer that extended the Warriors' lead to 75-85.

Jackson protested, referee Rodney Mott gave him two technical fouls (and an automatic ejection) and confusion reigned. Jackson didn't realize he'd been ejected. Then officials conferred with each other, and Jackson, and realized their mistake.

The technicals were expunged. Jackson stayed. Hughes' 3-pointer came off the scoreboard, and seven seconds went back on the clock.

``Some nights are going to be like that,'' Jackson said with a smile. ``All hell broke loose. He (Mott) didn't know what had happened. I've seen a lot of strange things, but nothing like that before.''
