I don't read too much into player quotes, but I read somewhere that following the Heat championship in 2006, Mourning claimed Kobe was "still the better player" and "MVP of this league".

Again I don't put alot of stock into it, but it's still interesting nonetheless.

Wade's Regular Season was easily better.

    Gotta love the double standard

06 & 07 Kobe get brought down because he lost in the first round while 09 Wade is on some type of Untouchable goat tier.

Same as always, constantly moving the goal post to discredit Kobe.

If we are being honest 01 playoff Kobe > any version of Wade.

lol the year the Heat only won 43 games? lmao

    Kobe's 06 >>>

35/5/5 is a legendary peak. McGrady came close with 32/6/5 but 3 points more per game is 3 points more per game.

So when we factor in that Kobe had better numbers, in the playoffs, while also leading HIS team to a championship...how exactly is 2009 Wade greater than 2009 Kobe? And more importantly Kobe at the peak of his powers?

Who has a double standard? Wade's 2009 Regular Season > Kobe's 2006 Regular Season IMO...I only mentioned Playoffs as a response to Kuniva and even then I never said 2009 Wade > 2009 Kobe factoring in Playoffs

So how are 2008 Kobe & 2006 Wade close if 1 Guy won and the other didn't?
