From what I've seen of Shumpert this year his defense is very much overrated and Ross is a much improved defender. I'd say Ross has been much improved. Looking like he could be a pretty good 3 and D guy who can finish at the rim. Anyways Synergy stats also say Ross is better on defense although they aren't the end all be all. Shumpert is a superior rebounder though.

Ross has no role. Was a total non-factor for the Raptors in the playoffs. At least Shump went to the 2nd round as a 3rd option and he played well in the 2nd round, one of the ONLY Knicks players that did.

Does Ross have more talent? Yes, we saw him have 1 huge game, never heard from again. Gimme Shump with Woodson gone.
