LOL at the Knicks bench reaction like they're in a different universe right now.

NBA 2K-esque there though. I do that all the time in video games.

I enjoyed the fact that the dude who double-pumped from near half-court was the closest to putting one down.

Everyone nodded knowingly.
So we initiate our press break, which has my point guard coming to the middle of the court to catch the inbound pass. The moment he catches the rock, I get a feel for what he's thinking - he's beginning to eye the wrong basket. I begin yelling at him not to shoot the ball, mostly in the slow motion form of, "NOOOOOOOOO!" The entire crowd follows suit, all emphatically dissuading him from following through on what he was about to execute.
He is not phased. He was standing three feet away from the wrong basket. It was a gimmie. Gathered himself, began his shooting motion, finished strong. The ball went up, ricocheted off the backboard, twirled around the rim just like at the critical moment of a cliched basketball movie and just happened to roll out. The entire gym sighed in relief. Dodged a freaking bullet.
He then grabbed his own rebound and put it in.
