I would love a basketball show that's not associated with the NBA in anyway. For example, Van Gundy last Sunday talked about how Kobe would take 5 to 6 bad shots per game, and kills the offense, and I've never heard him or anyone else on TV ever say that before. But last Sunday he felt comfortable because we were seeing a new Kobe.
It's something that obviously he has noticed in the past, but since he's sort of friends with Kobe he's never criticized him, just talked about how unbelievable he is.

Off the Dribble on Sirius is pretty good. The host is awful but the co-host are solid(Mike Dunleavy, Mateen Cleaves, Sam Mitchell). I need to look into the podcast for NBA stuff as well. Thanks for the heads up.

I still remember the PM's you sent to people about how you were hoping for their mothers to get cancer just because they wrote stuff about Wilt to get Jlauber fired up.

Just what I wanted to say. What Cuban did was amazing, and if those arguments on defense on lebron would had been visualized... omg.. That would be best show ever. And dont bring me that bballbreakdown. I watched his episodes from when he had 400 subs, but his show is also very shallow, barely scathing the surface.. and too much opinions, but its the best I can find.

The audience isn't there and the sports media will always treat basketball like a sideshow to football and baseball, and emphasize the "entertainment" aspect rather than the sport/competition aspect. So we're stuck with what we have.

Its really sad cause this sport is amazingly deep.

Completely honest...I prefer the analysis you find on forums like ours (once you sort the trolls and fanboys out) as opposed to anything on television, where its always some network just trying to sell us a story.
