If “29 teams” were in his list he wouldnt be asking for a trade. The Pels were a playoff team last year. He wants to be in LA. He even had his dad come out and try to discourage Boston from trading for him.

He wants to be in Los Angeles, with Bron, playing for the Lakers.

That is what is going to happen.

Anyone thinking otherwise will be very disappoint.

There is a 0% chance that the Pelicans will get a better offer than what the Lakers already offered. 0%. But whether they end up taking LA's offer or not out of spite remains to be seen. And that's why they'll always be a clown franchise.

To even make that deal work from a financial standpoint, Boston would have to be giving up Rozier in a sign and trade for 20 million, give or take a million in either direction, Tatum, Brown, and then either Smart or Baynes on top of that.... OR...

In any event I just don't see Boston actually offering up enough to match the Lakers.

That doesn't mean that I think Boston won't get Davis... just that New Orleans is going to get a shittier deal no matter what happens.

I mean... KCP, Zubac, Ball, Ingram, Kuzma + 2 future firsts for AD and Hill? Boston won't match that. It won't happen.
