According to this - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/consensus - consensus means "majority of opinion" and the opinion of the majority of the basketball media/writers all over the world is that these players are the players that redefined the game of basketball. If they are so well-regarded, then the logical conclusion is that they must be at the very top of the hierarchy:

Jordan
Russell
Kareem
Magic/Bird

About the consensus thing: Jordan/Kareem. Thats it. Russell not.

A guy scoring 16 ppg on 43% (playoffs) isnt consensus top 3.

About this: GTFOH @ Moses, HONDO, WILLIS REED&DR.J

How do you figure Dr. J, Hondo and Willis Reed ANYWAY?? Those guys are routinely ranked Top 30.

The mere fact that you listed the 4th spot as two people means it's not at all consensus.

If there's the one person in the basketball world who is known for objectivity it's Tommy Heinsohn,

If he said now, that's a whole another thing man, that's just sad

He was asked a question if he plans to be on the Mount Rushmore when his career is done and he says he plans to be. He also said it'll be someone else's job to put him there and take one of his four off (which isn't exactly how Mount Rushmore works but whatever, this is ludicriusly dumb concept in it's own right). People have been killing him for weeks over something that is the height of subjectivity, which ends up revealing the pettiness of the people commenting than anything abou Lebron.

He is a fat, drunk, bitter old man that needs to keep his mouth shut
So some idiot that nicknamed himself after one of the worst rappers of all time to troll a message board has the right to spit his stupid opinions but a hall of famer with a ring total higher than your IQ has no right to talk the history of a game he has been a part of for the last 6 decades? Ok, that makes sense.

He can't though because Lebron never said he was on Mt. Rushmore.

And if he honestly believes Lebron James, 4x MVP, 2x Champion and FMVP and one of the most talented players to ever play the game belongs as a pebble on Mt.Rushmore then something is off with him. There is literally no reason for him to be a d*ck about it with that answer, especially since he knows basketball and should recognize greatness instead of sounding like a internet troll.

I know how they are ranked, that's a saddening thing in the NBA world, nobody pays respect to legends of the past anymore.
Be patient, LeBron stans, he'll probably get there one day. Patience is a virtue.
DR.J's career is amazing if you count his ABA years.
Hondo's an 8 time NBA champion, has a finals MVP award, a peak of 29-9-8. One of the greatest all-around players ever. This pick has some bias to it, you can remove it if you don't respect winning as much as I do.
Willis Reed is a 2x champ and a 2x FMVP, same as LEBron. Sad his career was cut short.
Moses resume speaks for itself.
And how the **** the most achieved player ever in BR, the greatest defensive player ever with 11 frickin championships isn't a consensus top 4? Idiocy, I may say, is the only justifiable reason for this treason.
