Wade's 1st year in 03/04- As a rookie he took his team to the 2nd round of the playoffs and almost beat the 1st seed who had the best record in the NBA. Wade led his team in pts, FG%. assists etc in the playoffs , with many clutch moments. The Heat were basically a lottery team that year but they had a winning record with the rookie sensation Dwyane Wade. Wade missed 21 games that season and the team was 8-13 in those games.

Kobe had 3 of those Heat starters in 04/05 on his Laker team, those 3 players were more experienced by then, and with Kobe they had a horrible record. Kobe missed 16 games that year and with Kobe healthy they went 27-38.

Wade's 2nd year in 04/05 - a Fantastic playoff run for a 2nd year player. Was fantastic on both sides of the court with an all-around mature game that is the best reminder we've ever seen of Jordan in the playoffs. The 04 Pistons trounced the Lakers in the 04 Finals beating them in 5 and blowing them out in 3 games. Wade's Heat were up 3 games to 2 on the Pistons when Wade got injured late and deep into the 05 playoffs. If Wade doesn't get injured the Heat win the title that year.

Wade made an NBA ALL-DEFENSE team in 05 in just his 2nd year. Always been a spectacular playoff performer and Wade is Top 10 ALL-TIME in NBA History for career playoff PER.

Wade's 3rd year in 05/06 - a scintillating playoff run for the ages. Tied records in a playoff series for steals, and was all over the court with efficiency and an all-around mature game for a guard that we have never seen in the playoffs (sans Jordan). He shot an astonishing 62% against the Pistons defense in the conference finals, with the Pistons being the #1 ranked defense that year with the best record in the NBA (64 wins and their franchise best). And made that great Pistons D look silly. He followed it up with the best Finals performance in history against the 2nd ranked defense in the Western conference.

Wade "led" his team to an astonishing 10-41 record in 2008. Rose has never had a losing season and is now leading a team that was expected to be midpack to the best record in the East. Wade--with the reigning 2x MVP Lebron and Bosh--has a team that was expected to dominate the league in 3rd place in the East.

Yes--he won one when he was 24 years old in his third season. Rose is 22 and has yet to complete his third season so the ring argument is premature.

It is interesting, though, that he went 10-41 in a season. How many superstar have ever posted such an abysmal record? (He was hurt but still put up 25/4/7 on 47% with 2 steals and a block) The fact is Wade has not been relevant in the playoffs in half a decade. How long is he going to keep milking 2006?

Heat since 2006

2007 44 wins, lost in 0-4 the first round
2008 15 wins (10-41 with Wade)
2009 43 wins, lost 3-4 in the first round
2010 47 wins, lost 1-4 in the first round
2011 on pace for 57 wins--underperforming relative to expectations and talent. Lebron with scrubs won 60+ two years in a row in Cleveland.

Wade is 4-12 in the playoffs since 2006.

It is funny to see he is about Rose all but being a lock for the MVP. After "The Decision" this was supposed to be his favorite player, Durant's, year. Rose, and a weak 4th place--in their conference --showing by the Thunder, caused those hopes to evaporate and he is taking his frustration out on Rose.

Current LeBron from 16-23 feet. 43.6%

Almost a 10% difference from long range shooting, on way more attempts/game. I'd say he's a significantly better shooter.

Also his defense picked up around 09. LOL at 06 being LJ prime. He could barley make a jumper.

His defense back then wasn't that bad either. People just used to like to point it out because it wasn't elite, though it was still above average. Just not star level yet.

since 06?

Wade was injured in 07

And since 08 the Heat have been lottery teams. When an old and finished Jermaine O'Neal and Mr ridiculously inconsistent M. Beasley are your Top 2 options, you're a lottery team.

It's a miracle that Wade got those teams into the playoffs in the first place the last 2 years. None of those other 4 starters would have started for the Celtics for example (the Heat first round opponent last year).. in a series where Wade shot 57% against the celtics defense in the series averaging 34 pts.

Those were lottery teams Wade took to the playoffs. That's what he had to work with the last 3 years. Michael Jordan couldn't win a playoff series his first 3 years until later when he got Pippen ;-)

you'll never win anything with scrubs as your teammates.

In his 3rd year, Dwyane Wade led his team to the NBA Finals and had a legendary Finals performance that many agree was Jordan-esque. He also averaged 27 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds on 50% percent from the field.

I remember Wade was playing really good in 2007 before the injury I don't remember how good but what do you think was that stretch better than his 09 season.
