Default Why do people discredit low draft picks?

    Kawhi Leonard was drafted 15th
    Jimmy Butler was drafted 30th.
    Draymond Green was drafted 35th.

    Kobe Bryant was drafted 13th.

^To name a few. You never know. Well, sometimes you know.

No, but I'm glad the C's have a bunch of low picks. If they dont trade them, they have the luxury to take some chances.

You're literally picking the best players out of the group. Might as well compare them to the worst overall picks of Top draft picks.

There's always a chance to hit money on a diamond in the rough but for every Draymond Green or Rajon Rondo there are a dozen Vasilije Micic's.

In the case of second round picks, I would be curious to know what percentage actually ever gets a chance to play in the NBA.

it's the playoff team that gets those picks. generally, they are reluctant on the players developing.

they are good, but the NBA is a lot of minutes. Players who can play that many minutes and still excel, turns out having to go against many player who are filled with physical tools drafted before them.

Hope no one trades with them and they're stuck with all those picks.

You just never really know what you're gonna get out of the lower draft picks. Some of those players work their asses off and become stars, but that isn't very common. At the most, you can hope that those players develop into solid rotation players.

    It is all about odds/probability.
