Default 7' 3" Walter Tavares to work out with NBA teams

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources...183854588.html

Walter Tavares, one of the best 7-foot prospects in the world, is working on a contract buyout with his team in the Spanish ACB League and will travel soon to the United States to work out for several NBA teams, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Several NBA executives believe Tavares, who is 7-foot-3, has a strong chance to work himself into the first round of this month's NBA draft, and several teams choosing in the range of the 20s plan to bring him in for closer inspections, sources said.
anyone on here familiar with him? and if so, do you see him having an immediate impact with an NBA team? the 22 year old is 7' 3" and its been speculated he may have the biggest hands in the league

He is slow and unathletic. Brick hands coupled with no real basketball skill limits his impact to sheer muscle mass in the paint.

Quick feet for a guy his size but kind of awkward and clumsy. Quality defender with insane reach, capable rebounder and shotblocker, absolutely no offensive game to speak of, no post moves, shooting range is about 3-3 1/2 feet away from the basket, incredibly raw, has shown a lot of improvement in a short amount of time but needs to be heavily coached up in every facet on offense as well as better footwork on defense.
