    Dirk and Kobe are the same age and Dirk will most likely age better because he doesnt rely much on athletecism... I think he will still be top 8 but its not a must that hes on the list. Just an idea.

    Uhh, Kobe > Dirk as of right now and we all know guards will always have longer careers than big men because of the wear and tear from all the banging the big men will suffer through out their career.

    That doesn't make any sense. The wear and tear they suffer is from banging downlow in the post. Dirk is mainly a jumpshooter (back to the basket jumpshoooter, highpost type thing), while Kobe's been attacking the rim much more this year.

    You are right. Dirk is not the typical type of PF, so maybe its different. It is true though that big men tend to have shorter career than guards.

    Robert Parish is an exception but on average I will bet anything that guards have a much longer career than big men. Its almost common sense. It is a given that Kobe > Dirk right now and anyone with a brain will tell you the same.
