Before 1984 Bird was the same way in fact it was part of the big difference between he an Magic. But Bird eventually warmed up. Kareem, one the brighter superstars in all sports, was the same way. I doubt that being great in PR was part of the dream for those guys. If you don't take them seriously its on you, not them. The do their work at the highest of levels. I think Rose is one of the most approachable of all of the superstars now. Where did you get that from? Teammates said that they couldn't approach Kobe. And Lebron has given ball boys some real bad airs.
