I still remember peeps wanting to move him to SG with Monta at the point.

Having Jarrett Jack at point in 2012 did help his development.

Although at times he has trouble against quick guards and he lacks defensive versatility. he's motivated and focused consistently on the defensive end so I'd say he's at worst an above average defender.

It's obvious that whoever wrote the report is a retard. I hate people who focus solely on athleticism and not at all on actual skill.

The dude took some shitty D3 team to the NCAA quarterfinals if I recall correctly. Obvious he was going to be legit.

I think the author of that report is an ISH poster.

Shot selection is quite spot on. If anyone else would be shooting these, he would be crucified (even Kobe gets flamed for it), but everything Curry throws goes in, its NOT normal

    'Limited upside' got me laughing

OP you stupid or something? Curry takes like 12 3 pointers a game and leads the league in that, so yes he relies heavily on his outside shot. Not a true PG is arguable but isn't that what everybody used to say about Westbrook? Curry averages like 6 APG and that's not a traditional PG role, so that's not thread worthy either, neither is the "college system makes him hard to evaluate".
Just because he has been incredible for a few years you going to act like he was a clear cut MVP caliber player from the start?
For the record, this is the whole list, including a long list of strengths:

How could he have been evaluated any differently? There is literally nothing other than a deal with the devil that could make a player with Curry's build and athletic ability any better than a fringe starter.

Think about what he has to do to be competitive, never mind the MVP. He literally scoops in layups from 15 feet and pulls up over 7 footers from 30 feet several times a game.... to score 25 or 30. Nobody in the game's history has ever been able to sustain that sort of thing before. Why not Eddie House? Why not Isaiah Thomas (the active one...)?

Curry is completely outside the realm of what's possible without Satanic ritual or voodoo. Nobody could have predicted this.
