So what changed?

Arguing less guns doesn't fly, because there are less gun owners now than there ever has been.

There must be something we as a society can look at and say 'why has the last 20 years been different than the previous 180'?

So... what has changed in the past 20 years?
Greetings! It's been awhile since I've visited here, but this topic seems worth replying to...

I think it's the same old fallen, evil, sinful nature of mankind that is at work, but as the Bible says...Because judgement for an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore it is in the hearts of the sons of men to do evil (

Evil people in the U.S. that do not fear God are more and more bold (yet very foolish) to do more and more wickedly, and those who are already inclined to do evil, are emboldened by their wicked works to follow after them in a selfish, murderous rage, thinking that it will accomplish anything. The mass media covers the events and brings lots of attention to it, teaching any number of wicked people watching that it is something to do.

God already destroyed most of mankind once in a great flood because, as the Bible says, they corrupted His way on the earth, and the earth was filled with violence (

The good news is that God is still good, and longsuffering towards us, not willing that any should perish in His pending judgement of the world, but that all should believe on His beloved Son Jesus in whom He is well pleased. He came from Heaven and lived a perfect, sinless life before the Father, laid down His life on the cross to pay for the sin of the whole world, was buried, and on the third day rose again back to life according to the Scriptures. These events were also prophesied throughout the Scriptures so that you may know that it is true, and from the true and living God who knows the end from the beginning.

Not only can you be saved from the evil of the world and escape the punishment of your sins, but you can have eternal life as a free gift by believing in the Son of God. Because He lives, He is eternal, the same yesterday, today and forever, He is able to save. He is also willing to save anyone who believes
