Tyreke Evans is excelling in his role as a starter for the Pelicans.
Evans is averaging 22.4 points, 5.6 boards, and 5.8 dimes in 11 games as a starter for the Pelicans this season as opposed to averages of 12.1 points, 4.5 boards, and 4.5 dimes in 50 games off the bench. Those sample sizes aren't exactly comparable, but the 13 extra minutes per game that Evans has seen as a starter has done wonders for his confidence and is showing on the stat sheet. Fantasy owners who were patient enough to hold onto Evans all season can now just sit back and enjoy being handsomely rewarded down the stretch.
