Wizards wait for 2nd round playoff opponent

The Wizards know a couple things about their next test, which will be Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. They know it will be either against the top-seeded Atlanta Hawks or the eighth-seeded Brooklyn Nets. And after the Hawks won Game 5 Wednesday night to take a 3-2 series lead, they will play Sunday in Atlanta if the Hawks win Game 6 Friday. If the series goes seven games, the Wizards will play Wednesday in Atlanta if the Hawks advance or in Washington if the Nets prevail. The break will be at least seven days between games.

i have no idea what to expect from this hawks match-up. Hawks have the season series at 3-1, with one of those victories being a thrashing (120-88) But, the wizards won the most recent matchup and a couple of the regular season meetings were during the wizards funk and on back2back road trips so they can be excused for a couple of those L's. Hawks were underwhelming in their first round matchup against the nets and havn't really looked that daunting.... i'm not really convinced on this team they've been shakey to start off the post season maybe its to early to call.

Wiz have shocked everyone with their complete disposal of the craptors andpeaking just at the right time. Gortat is really showing up earning that paper .... Hopefully we continue this amazing surge and total different brand of basketball!! Im looking for Pierce to play the 4 to give Milsap an extra work load on the defensive end. Also, Beal needs to play lock down D on korver, be in his pocket all night, whoever is guarding him.. hopefully whitman elects Porter for this task this guy is going to play a big part in this this series its either going to be really close or a completely dominant in the hawks favour with their small ball brand of basketball.

    My pick- Wiz in 6
