Now, which shot had the bigger impact again? If you seriously try to argue this...

I actually think back to that great Duncan shot more than the Fisher shot. D's shot was pure luck and frankly shouldn't have even counted in the first place as the ball was clearly not out of his hands in time. Allen's shot was all skill and just a great shot in general. The circumstances are also a lot different...one shot put the Lakers up 3-2 in a series where neither team even ended up the eventual champions...where as Ray's shot basically saved the Heat season.

it defined fishers legacy not kobes. lebron is the only player whos legacy is defined by other players shots

Judging both side by side, .4 will be harder to forget from Spurs fans and was imo much harder to swallow (the whole city thought it shouldn't have counted and thus left a stink in the air). Casual, general NBA fans will probably remember the Allen shot more because it's tied to a Lebron team and it's simply fresher.

Got to give Kobe credit here. The rest... fluke as hell.
    not sure if serious ??

duncan lined up the shot perfectly. all he had to do was throw it at a 90 degree angle.

Take out Ray and Joey and LeBalds 0-5 right now . Take out Fisher and Kobe would've hit the gamewinner himself.

OP makes a great point. That .4 shot by Fisher changed the course of history. If Fisher misses that shot Fisher is likely sent away and never allowed to return, as the Lakers always get rid of players once they stop bailing Kobe out. If Fisher isn't around to bail Kobe out in the 2009 and 2010 Finals Kobe likely never wins a ring without Shaq, and thus never cracks the top 20.

You guys were terrific that year (particularly on the defensive end). I think the Spurs and the TWolves (if Cassell's back doesn't give out) both might've had a better shot than we did vs. Detroit. ****ing Malone after the MCL sprain (though he was hurt in December, so really wasn't 100% after that anyway) and GP were useless.

Duncan has hit other running, fall-away (fade-away), one handed shots before. Game winner or not.

one-handed game winner over Emeka Okafor

fall-away game winner over Karl Malone

He's got a good shot and release and that's not new information. It's not like Dwight Howard hitting a midrange game-winner, which would be an absolute rarity. Duncan made a living on midrange game
