1st All-Chucker/Shotjacker/Selfish Teams
make your all-chucker/ballhog/selfish/shotjacker teams....
By Chucker/Shotjacker/Selfish player i mean a player that is taking a ridicilous amount of shots in a bad FG% and having low assists or low assists/turnover ratio or low assist% based on his position & usage%.......... BASICALLY HIGH USAGE / LOW EFFICIENCY.........
Thats why it was hard to have Wilt Chamberlain there in my list because he is not like that (sure he chucks, but he makes most of it.. he is just that efficient, he cant help it lol).... but he is SELFISH like with the fury of an angry god... so it made it right... cmon.. he averaged 40 FGA a freakin game..... hahahahaha
today i gota go with:
PG - Derrick Rose / R.Westbrook / Gilbert Arenas
SG - Kobe Bryant / JR Smith / Monta Ellis
SF - Kevin Durant / Carmelo Anthony / Ron Artest / S-Jax
PF - Al Jefferson / Al Thornton / Al Harrington
C - Eddy Curry / Marreese Speights
all-time:
PG - Allen Iverson
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - T-Mac
PF - Elgin Baylor
C - Wilt Chamberlain

No... dont even try I dont consider efficient teamplayers/point-forwards putting up the most assists by any Non-PG in NBA history a Selfish/Chucker/Shotjacker.... why? just because they can score to so well? he is shooting 50%... and is in his prime right now probably, only hanging around max 18-19 FGA

Pounding the ball for 20 some seconds and making a pass at the last second, knowing his teammates would have to shoot and he may get an assist, is both selfish and cowardly. The others at least have the courage to shoot without worrying about their field goal percentages.

You'll find much of what you seek here. Tons of scrubs/non star players with top usage rates. Predictable list too.

Antoine Walker should definitely be on that list.

Lebron has a case for all time ballhogging.

All right, sorted the list by lowest assist rate. Then picked the guy with over 20 usage rate that really plays the stated position. This would be the roster:
PG: Lou Williams (assist rate 19.3%, 6th worst out of 65 point guards)
SG: Nick Young (assist rate 6.2%, worst of all shooting guards)
SF: Corey Maggette (assist rate 9.2% with a whopping 25 usage rate!)
PF: Charlie Villanueva (5.5%, eck!)
C: Dwight Howard (5.8% assist rate, the only Center with over a 20 usage rate until you hit Andrea Bargniani's 7.4% assist rate)
So, nice try attempting to make a Kobe bashing thread. Kobe actually has a decent assist ratio.

you have to be the most rtrded dude trying to call unselfish traditional pointguards/pointforwards for SELFISH/COWARDS....
wtf is that logic of yours supposed to mean anyways? that a pointguard - pointforward should immediately get rid of the ball offensively and the rest of his teammates should get rid of the ball aswell immediately...... what the **** is the point of that? to keep the ball randomly moving??? that makes sense only in the TRIANGLE OFFENSE where a traditional pointguard is not needed at all..........
that beats the whole purpose of a pointguards/pointforwards JOB to CREATE for his teammates..... especially in a halfcourt offense (CP3/Lebron) or even run-n-gun fastbreak offense (Nash/Magic and so on).... you get 24 seconds offensively and so you better make sure to create the best high percentage basket...... there is no hurry....
A pointguard/pointforward creates Plays for his teammates... which can mean anything from bringing the ball up and first reading the defense... and THEN getting the ball to your postplayer... to setting up a catch-n-shoot scenario for one of your shooters... to penetrate/drive and kick... to dissect the defense by drawing the double-triple team and finding the open man for the easy basket......... or eventually create something for himself depending on how the defense plays him or his teammates..... all that takes time..............
somebody like Lebron/CP3/Nash/Rondo/Deron are ASKED / BEGGED to do that.... and are loved by it by their teammates and their coaches...... because without Lebron/CP3/Nash/Rondo there would be NOBODY who could create for their teammates like that........... they have the best passing ability / court vision / decision making in the NBA and are the most unselfish superstars........... THATS WHERE THE BALL NEEDS TO GO.... THEY "DOMINATE" THE BALL FOR GREAT DEEDS, FOR UNSELFISH PURPOSES! NOT FOR BAD....

1. you missed the Chucker/Shotjacker part... as in taking major amount of shots and missing most or even much of it..... hi usage / low efficiency...
2. you can avoid a bad/terrible assist ratio... if you dont pass so much and dont turnover so much.... and that has to do with selfishness/not trusting his teammates or simply not being a great passer / having great court vision to do that... kobe for example runs up the offense, waits and recieves the pass and immediately thinks SCORE/SHOOT... he is not putting himself in a position where he can turnover the ball.... he is not ballhandling/passing 24-7....
3. trying to call kobe not selfish.... is a very bad thing to do as he is wellknowned as one of (if not the most) selfish players in NBA history... he has been called that not only by fans, who cares right? but by his COACHES, TEAMMATES AND OTHER PLAYERS... ANNOUNCERS AND SO ON..... and there is alot of facts on that...
