The Golden State Warriors selected Vanderbilt University center Damian Jones with the 30th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft and acquired the draft rights to University of Nevada, Las Vegas guard Patrick McCaw (38th overall pick in the second round) from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for cash considerations, the team announced.
Jones, 20, posted career averages of 13.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.69 blocks and 27.2 minutes in 99 games over three seasons at Vanderbilt, garnering First Team All-SEC honors as both a sophomore and junior. In his junior season in 2015-16, Jones (7
