First Year Coaches have won 3 of the last 5 Chips
2015 - Steve Kerr (First Year)
2016 - Ty Lue (First Year)
2017 - Steve Kerr (3rd year)
2018 - Steve Kerr (4th Year)
2019 - Nick Nurse (5th Year)
IF we take into account that 2017 and 2018 are basically a NEW coach still, hmm..
The point I'm trying to make is that perhaps Coaching Hires should not necessarily go to retreads all the time. Sure for every Brad Stevens there's 2-3 Fred Hoiberg, but it would be interesting to see more Sub-contenders (50win ish) teams try their hand at a brand new coach (Maybe a promising assistant?)
A team like, I don't know, the sixers?

Kerr and nurse are actually good coaches, Lue is quite mediocre though.
