Tell me about Henry Ellenson

All the talk was about the Pistons getting Thon Maker or Denzel Valentine obliviously those guys were gone by 18. I think Valentine will be good btw.

He has to have bigger upside than that.

I like the Dunn pick it makes Rubio more expendable. Held on the Pelicans will be interesting as well.

I think Ellenson will be a good fit and a steal for Detroit. They have tweeners in Marcus Morris and Harris, and their other tweener - Tolliver - is probably gone. They have no true PF.

He can play well off of Drummond since he has some range and some athleticism. Of course, just gotta pay Drummond for him to stay... which I presume Detroit will? If those young players play even better and improve under SVG, I think they can get in that 4~6 seed range. I mean, look:

I like that. Especially when imagining KCP and Johnson just getting better. My only real concern is if Jackson can be less of a ballhog.

I am curious to see how the rotation will be now w/ Ellenson. Will he take backup mins from Baynes? Stick to just PF? End up starting over one of the tweeners?

In any case, I like Detroit a lot (I liked them last year before the season and I was right!), as long as some of those young players continue to improve.
