Default Steven Adams makes NBA All-Rookie Second Team

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams was named to the All-Rookie Second Team for the 2013-14 season, it was announced earlier today by the NBA.

This past season, Adams appeared in 81 games (20 starts) for Oklahoma City and averaged 3.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and .70 blocks in 14.8 minutes.

Adams, the first New Zealand native taken in the first round of the NBA Draft, was named to the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge as part of All-Star Weekend. On Nov. 8 at Detroit, Adams posted 17 points and 10 rebounds to become the first Thunder rookie to record a double-double since Serge Ibaka in 2010.
