fantastic quality and very reasonably priced. in fact, i got them from amazon warehouse for 50 bucks.

i have this headset. great sound quality for the price but my stupid noggin is too big for them to fit comfortably for any long period of time.

These high end headphones work with gaming consoles as well? What additional purchases are required if any?

Usually you can get away with just the headphones, but it's recommended that you have a decent DAC and a headphone amp to properly drive some of the nicer pairs due to their resistance.

I use a Schiit Modi USB DAC into a Little Dot MK III Tube Pre-Amplifier.

I looked at those but I prefer open-back. Although I only use mine at home.
