Okafor pulled over for doing 108 MPH
"76ers rookie center Jahlil Okafor was pulled over in Philadelphia around three weeks ago for driving 108 mph, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Okafor was traveling on the Ben Franklin Bridge when he was stopped. Driving over 40 mph is considered reckless.
The news comes days after he was involved in a fight in the streets of Boston on Wednesday night, that was caught on video. Police said they would not investigate the incident unless someone came forward to say they were the victim of a crime.
The 19-year-old also previously exchanged words with a heckler while out with teammates at a Philadelphia club in Oct., according to the Inquirer. As Okafor left, the critic pointed a gun to Okafor's head outside the club. No police report was filed but federal officers may have witnessed the incident.
Each incident has ties to venues that serve alcohol, which he is not legally allowed to consume until he is 21.
Okafor was the third overall pick in this year’s NBA draft. He is averaging 18 points and 17.9 rebounds per game this season.

This is what can happen if you give a 19 year old fame an fortune. It's unfortunate that he's playing in the NBA at 19 at a high level for his age (even though the Sixers are historically struggling right now), but he's throwing it away.

Re: Okafor pulled over for doing 108 MPH
It's either he's really ***** dumb or he just doesn't want to wait for philly to pump and dump him. This is the 3rd negative thing he's done that's landed him in the newspaper less than a month into the season. They hid this and the gun incident really good but once they caught the fight on camera there's nothing you can do to protect him, it brought negative attention his way which led to the other two incidents being brought to light

Driving off a bridge at 108 MPH, while pulling a gun on yourself. Probably how the whole Philly fanbase feels.

While it is dangerous, all yall would be lying if you said you've never gone over 100mph "just to see what it's like".
