adleman and martin just work well together

plus, prior to this signing, minny had no other scoring options besides love. particularly on the perimeter. so now hes going to get all the shots he wants for this team. and so far, so good for martin.

Too much pressure and expectation from the arrogant / spoiled Thunders fans. Now playing along with Rubio/Love, Martin is finally enjoying the game and fully maximizing his potentials.

Martin has always been able to score.

The problem is, three of the games best scorers are out or just returning from an injury.

Westbrook isn't quite himself, though he's doing better than Rose.

    Rose, has looked horrible.

    Kobe isn't back.

Melo has looked horrible, and I kind of want to give him the benefit of the doubt because of his shoulder injury.

Yeah, umm, OKC didn't give Martin away. He was always a one-year rental. Presti got him in the deal because he was a $12M expiring contract. He started off playing great for us last year, too. He averaged 15.5 PPG in OKC's first 20 games, had four 20+ point games and nine 15+ point games. And he shooting percentages were 45/45/93.

Then he progressively got worse and worse. From January until the end of the season he averaged 13 PPG on 45/41/86 shooting, and post-ASB he averaged 12 PPG on 44/40/86 shooting. And, I know, the numbers still aren't bad, but he was incredibly inconsistent. He'd run off a string of 5-12 point games on something like 30%-35% shooting, then buoy his numbers with a 15-20 point game. And, of course in the playoffs he was awful save game 6 against Houston and game 1 against Memphis. Once he got a fine for flopping last year, the refs stopped giving him FT's when he'd go to his patented "1-2 dribble, stop on one foot and jump into the defender and flop for FT's" move. Oh, and believe it or not, but he might actually be a worse defender than Harden.

As for this year, right now he's shooting 56% on 3P field goals and 42% on 2P field goals. Once he comes back down to earth and starts shooting a more reasonable percentage from 3, his numbers will come back down.

Not when all of his 3 pt shots are in his sweet spot.

his 2 pt shots are pretty wild though sometimes, if they arent off a love outlet.

So he's going to keep shooting around 56% from three all year? Besting his career high of 43% from last year when he was getting all the wide-open looks he wanted due to the attention drawn by Durant and Westbrook?

When he plays with pass-first players like Rubio and Love, look at how well he plays.

Shoot, Love is averaging more assists than Westbrook this year, let alone Rubio.

Westbrook and Durant just aren't team-first players.

And before KG gets his panties in a wad, yes Westbrook and Durant are great players who will take their team far into the playoffs.

Where did I say it was going to plummet back into the 30s?
