HGH cannot be detected in a test that is why it is very popular with many athletes. Who knows who takes it?, but to the queston does it make you taller the answer is no!, it does make jaws and forheads grow though.

Does it make the bone of the skull and jaw grow? Or just the muscles on these areas?

LeBron was always big, even in HS. Kobe I doubt because he didn't lose any vertical, and HGH takes away the vertical. Artest would be the most likely of the three.

HGH doesn't take away vertical. It's just getting bigger and weighing more can sometimes hurt your leaping skills. Same thing can happen naturally if someone just works out a lot and puts on weight.
